Brand

OpenLinkOS is the umbrella brand of our open-source projects. LinkOS is our line of hosted services. Both use one visual system: a mark drawn with a single round-ended line, a monoline wordmark, and one accent colour per brand.

The interlocked rings stand for OpenLinkOS and every project and service that has no mark of its own. Origin, a memory, has its own mark: a ring around its point of origin.

Using the marks

  • Clear space. Keep free space around the mark at least as wide as one ring's radius, which is a fifth of the mark's height.
  • Minimum size. Use the mark at 16 px or larger and the lockup at 96 px wide or larger. Below 32 px, use the favicon files, which have a heavier line.
  • Colour. Use the colourways provided: light, dark, black and white. Do not recolour, stretch, rotate, outline or add effects to the marks, and do not redraw the wordmark.
  • Names. Write OpenLinkOS, LinkOS and Origin exactly so, in Latin letters, in every language.
  • Permission. The names and marks are not covered by the MIT license of our code. You may use them to refer to our projects and services, but not in a way that suggests endorsement, or in the name or logo of your own product.
